The Sea of Monsters, is the second book in the series of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. After his first summer at camp half blood, Percy returns home to his mother and his 7th grade school year. He befriends "a six-foot-three menially challenged homeless kid" named Tyson. Together Percy and Tyson uncover new mysteries and challenges to an other wise "unnervingly quite" school year. Funny I do not remember it being that quite ... Percy finds himself dealing with some new personal matters in this story and has to come to grips with some pretty strong emotions concerning his father on top of everything else.

Percy Jackson 2010 The Lighening Theif
Rick Riordan has become one of my favorite authors; The Percy Jackson 2010 series was spectacular ! These books are fast moving and addicting. If you loved the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling then I can almost guarantee you will love these. Percy Jackson is a good kid who lives with his mom and his step dad. He has always had a problem controlling his temper and focusing on his school work. At boarding school things seem to escalate ... strange things start happening, monsters are trying to kill him, and together Percy's mother who knows the truth about Percy's Demigod blood and best friend Grover, who turns out to be much more than he seems, take Percy to Camp Half Blood where he can be trained and protected. Camp Half Blood is only the beginning ... Percys learns of his parentage and many new skills as he embarks on a unbelievable adventure to save the world.
